
San Francisco, March 1, 2005 - RS Investments, a San Francisco-based investment management firm specializing in small and mid-cap equities, announces the addition of two experienced professionals to the firm's investment team. Brenda A. Barber, an experienced analyst in small- cap equities, has joined the firm as an analyst in the company's growth group, and Jean Timken, a trader with more than 20 years of experience, has joined the firm's trading team.

Prior to joining RS Investments, Brenda spent six years as an analyst at RCM Global Investors, where she focused on small-cap equities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level II candidate.
Jean has accrued more than 20 years of experience in the investment field. Previously she was the head trader at West Highland Capital, Inc. for nine years, and a head trader at Pacific Equity Management for five years. She also held institutional sales trading positions at Brad Peery, Inc., and at Hambrecht & Quist. Jean graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University with a degree in political science.
